You must be at least 18 years old to use Kinopal. Film and series metadata may include references to sexual content, violence, strong language, or other mature themes even when filtering is enabled. If the law where you live requires a higher minimum age or additional authorization, that requirement applies.

You may not use Kinopal if you are legally prohibited from receiving the service or if your use would violate applicable law.

3. What Kinopal provides

Kinopal helps users discover movies and television series, view metadata and streaming availability, save titles, track viewing progress, create collections, share selected collections, and identify titles from a photo or video where recognition is available. Kinopal does not provide movies or television programs for viewing, sale, rental, or licensing.

Streaming availability, ratings, release dates, age classifications, and other metadata may be incomplete, delayed, region-dependent, or inaccurate. You should confirm important information with the relevant streaming provider or official source.

Photo and video recognition

Recognition is optional and uses Google Gemini; public Instagram clips are retrieved through Apify. A result is a suggestion, not a guaranteed identification. Review the title before saving it. Requests may be limited by account quotas, provider availability, supported sources and safety checks, and a request does not guarantee a match.

Submit only media or public links that you are entitled to share and have processed. Do not submit sensitive personal information or use recognition to bypass private-account restrictions or other access controls. Kinopal does not grant rights to third-party clips. ThePrivacy Policy explains media transfer, consent and retention. Recognition is also subject to the providers' applicable age, regional and acceptable-use requirements, including theGemini API terms.

4. Accounts and security

• You may sign in with Google, Apple, or a verified phone number where available. The relevant provider's terms also apply to that sign-in method.
• You are responsible for maintaining control of your device, linked account, and verification codes, and for activity performed through your Kinopal account.
• Information you provide must be accurate and must not impersonate another person or infringe another person's rights.
• Notify us promptly atinfo@kinopal.app if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

5. Your collections and shared content

You retain any rights you have in collection names, descriptions, or other content you submit. You grant Kinopal a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, and display that content only as necessary to operate, secure, and improve the features you choose to use.

A published collection can be viewed by anyone who obtains its sharing link. You are responsible for the content you choose to make public and must not include confidential information, unlawful material, personal data of others without permission, or content that infringes third-party rights.

6. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use Kinopal for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity;
• probe, bypass, disable, or interfere with security, authentication, rate limits, or access controls;
• scrape, copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit service content or third-party metadata except where applicable law or the relevant rights holder expressly permits it;
• upload malicious code, overload the service, automate access without permission, or disrupt another user's access;
• misuse reporting tools or submit knowingly false or misleading reports; or
• use another person's account without authorization.

We may remove unlawful shared content or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users, third-party rights, or service security.

7. Third-party services and content

Movie, series, cast, rating, and image metadata is supplied by The Movie Database (TMDB). This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDB. Streaming-availability data is powered by JustWatch. Store distribution, authentication, and certain infrastructure are provided by Apple, Google, and Firebase.

Third-party services and external links are governed by their own terms and policies. Kinopal does not control their content, availability, pricing, catalog, or data practices and is not responsible for a third-party service except where mandatory law provides otherwise.

8. Kinopal intellectual property

Kinopal's name, icon, interface, software, original text, and visual design are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use the service under these Terms, no rights are transferred to you. Third-party names, images, and metadata remain the property of their respective owners.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we process, why we process it, how long it is kept, and how to exercise your rights. By using Kinopal, you acknowledge that Policy.

10. Account deletion and suspension

You may permanently delete your account in the app fromProfile → Account → Delete account, or use ourAccount Deletion page if you cannot access the app. Deletion is irreversible and removes your synchronized library, progress, collections, reports, and published collection copies, subject only to limited legal-retention obligations described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of a serious or repeated breach of these Terms, unlawful conduct, security risk, or a legal requirement. Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue.

11. Service changes and availability

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, comply with law, reflect third-party API changes, or improve Kinopal. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Where a change materially affects users, we will provide reasonable notice when practicable.

12. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, Kinopal is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties that may lawfully be excluded, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes guarantees or remedies that cannot be waived under applicable consumer law.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss resulting from use of or inability to use Kinopal, reliance on third-party metadata, or third-party service failures. We do not exclude or limit liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot legally be limited.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Italian law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections provided by the law of their country of residence. If you are a consumer in the European Union, any mandatory court of your place of residence remains competent. In other cases, the courts of Arezzo, Italy have exclusive jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect service or legal changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated in a reasonable manner, and renewed acceptance will be requested where required by law.
