Account and privacy
Delete your Kinopal account
You can permanently delete your Kinopal account and associated data from inside the app. If you cannot access the app, you may send us a deletion request by email.
Delete your account in the app
- Open Kinopal and sign in.
- Open Profile.
- In the Account section, select Delete account.
- Review the warning and confirm permanent deletion.
For security, Firebase may require a recent sign-in. If prompted, sign out, sign in again using your connected Apple, Google, or phone account, and repeat the steps.
If you cannot access the app
Email info@kinopal.app with the subjectKinopal account deletion request. Tell us which sign-in method you used and provide enough non-secret information for us to locate and verify the account.
We normally complete a verified request without undue delay and within one month. If applicable law permits an extension because a request is unusually complex, we will tell you why and when to expect completion.
Data deleted with the account
- the Firebase authentication account and Kinopal user identifier;
- profile and connected sign-in information held for Kinopal;
- saved, watched, and currently watching titles;
- season and episode viewing progress;
- personal collections and their items;
- content reports associated with the account; and
- published copies of collections owned by the account.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Local preferences or cached public metadata on your device can be removed separately by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling Kinopal.
Limited retention
Recognition receipts, quota counters and account-linked recognition usage records are managed separately from your library and may remain after in-app account deletion until routine expiry. Receipts expire after one hour, daily quota records after three days, and detailed usage records after 30 days. Physical cleanup is asynchronous. Emailinfo@kinopal.app to request removal of related account-linked records sooner, subject to verification and any applicable legal-retention requirements.
Narrowly limited records may be retained only where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Service-provider backups may persist temporarily until overwritten under their normal retention cycles. Retained information is not used for unrelated purposes.
Delete specific data without closing the account
Kinopal lets you remove saved titles, viewing marks, progress, and collections through the relevant in-app controls. For another privacy request, email info@kinopal.app. See the Privacy Policy for all available rights.
